Rukhiya Baidukenova: Silk Way Star is chance to present Kazakh culture on international stage
The international television project Silk Way Star is a remarkable example of cultural cooperation between Kazakhstan and China, Kazakh performer Rukhiya Baidukenova, who is well-known to the Chinese public, wrote on Instagram, Qazinform News Agency correspondent reports.
It is a great honor for me to represent Kazakhstan at the international television project Silk Way Star, which will take place in China this year. Moreover, the project is jointly organized by the Television and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and China’s international media corporation CMG, which highlights the importance of cultural and informational exchange between the two countries. In my opinion, Silk Way Star is a unique international project that brings together talented artists from different parts of the world, strengthening friendship, cultural ties, and mutual understanding among nations. I believe that this project, being realized as a joint initiative between Kazakhstan and China, is a remarkable example of cultural cooperation. For me, participating in this project is both a great responsibility and a valuable opportunity to proudly present the culture and art of Kazakhstan on the international stage, reads the post.
To recall, the Silk Way Star project was launched under an agreement between the TV and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and China Media Group (CMG).
The grand finale of Silk Way Star took place in Astana and was broadcast live in six languages simultaneously. All 10 episodes of the competition were aired on the Jibek Joly and Silk Way TV channels. The final was also broadcast on China’s CCTV-15 channel, which is part of China Media Group. The project’s total audience exceeded 1 billion viewers.
