Paying a working visit to Podgorica, CCI President Temir Sariev and Honorary Consul of Montenegro in Kyrgyzstan Beknazar Asanov held a series of meetings with representatives of government agencies and the business community.

After talks with Vice President of the CCI of Montenegro, Pavle Radovanović, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the chambers of the two countries. The parties agreed to develop cooperation in the field of entrepreneurship, with a focus on tourism, and to explore the possibility of organizing internships for specialists from Kyrgyzstan.

At Montenegro's Ministry of Tourism, Temir Sariev discussed with the head of the ministry, Simonida Kordić, the prospects for Kyrgyzstan's participation in the international tourism forum under the auspices of the UN, which will be held in October of this year.

In addition, at the meeting at the Ministry of Economy, they discussed issues of expanding trade and economic ties, attracting investment, and mechanisms for Kyrgyz companies to enter European markets.

Montenegro's EU candidate status and dynamic economic growth make it a strategically important partner for Kyrgyz businesses. Of particular interest is the tourism sector, which accounts for over 30 percent of the country's GDP.

As Qazinform News Agency previously reported, Montenegro introduced a temporary visa-free regime for Kazakhstani citizens.
