Kazakhstan’s parliament chambers to convene on May 8

Majilis Chairman Yerlan Koshanov today signed an order to convene a joint session of both chambers of the Kazakh parliament on May 8, Qazinform News Agency cites the press service of the Majilis.
The order states that a joint session of the Senate and Majilis will take place at 10:00 a.m. on May 8, 2026, in Astana, in accordance with the Constitution (Article 58, Paragraph 4, Subparagraph 2).
Previously, Qazinform reported the Majilis has begun work on the draft Constitutional Law “On the Qurultay of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the status of its deputies.”
