Kazakhstan’s Kashagan oilfield produces 115mln tons of crude oil since inception
This has been said by Giancarlo Ruiu, Managing Director at North Caspian Operating Company (NCOC), which operates the Kashagan oilfield, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports.

Since its inception, Kazakhstan’s Kashagan oilfield has produced over 115 million tons of crude oil, up to 70 billion cubic meters of natural gas and more than 10 million tons of sulphur, said Giancarlo Ruiu during a roundtable in the Majilis.
He went on to add that a lot has been done over the past few years, pointing to the successful upgrade of the critical equipment.
In general, the Kashagan oilfield operates safely, without any serious injures or incidents, he added.
Earlier it was reported that Kazakhstan had sent the first batch of oil from the Kashagan field to Baku Port and further to Europe via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline system.
