"President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's working visit to Shanghai gave new momentum to Kazakh-Chinese high-tech cooperation. QAZBOT ROBOTICS FORUM 2026 is one of the practical outcomes of the agreements achieved. It is important for us that cooperation with leading tech companies results in concrete projects – localization of solutions, engineering talent development, and the integration of robotics into key economic sectors," said Vice Minister of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development Gizzat Baitursynov.

QAZBOT Technologies CEO Vladislav Safarov added that for Kazakhstan, it is essential that robotics development is not limited to importing ready-made solutions.

"QAZBOT is building a complete technological cycle here – from R&D, software, and AI models to localized production, engineering training, and deploying robots in real-world processes. Our goal is to create Kazakhstan's own industrial and engineering base for Robotics & AI and, together with international partners, bring these technologies to practical application," Vladislav Safarov said.

A day before the forum, on August 18, Kazakhstan broke ground on its first Robotics & AI complex, QAZBOT, in Astana. It will serve as the foundation for the company's production and research infrastructure, combining R&D, software and AI model development, testing, adaptation, and localized production of robotic systems.

The forum's central event was the plenary session "AI & Robotics: Shaping the Economy of the Future." Representatives of QAZBOT Technologies, AgiBot, and the international tech community discussed the prospects of Embodied AI and scenarios for using robots in industry, logistics, finance, healthcare, social services, and urban infrastructure.

QAZBOT Technologies and AgiBot held B2B meetings with Kazakh companies to discuss sector-specific challenges and explore opportunities for launching pilot projects.

Several strategic agreements were signed with Kazakh and international partners in technology, education, and international cooperation.

It is noted that QAZBOT ROBOTICS FORUM 2026 marked the transition from exploring the possibilities of modern robotics to forming concrete projects, partnerships, and solutions for application in Kazakhstan.

As previously reported, China leads global humanoid robot development.
