Anthem of Kazakhstan's project Silk Way Star premieres in China
Kazakh singer Rukhiya Baidukenova and Chinese singer Zhang Hexuan, a participant of the international music project Silk Way Star, presented the Silk Way Star anthem at the 5th Global Media Innovation Forum in Chongqing, Qazinform News Agency reports.
The song, written by Kazakh composer Khamit Shangaliyev, was enthusiastically received by forum participants. The performance of the Silk Way Star anthem became a highlight of the forum's cultural program, demonstrating Kazakhstan's role in developing international people-to-people and media cooperation along the Silk Road.
The Silk Way Star project is implemented under an agreement between the TV and Radio Complex of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and China Media Group (CMG).
In 2025, the Silk Way Star grand finale was held for the first time in Astana and broadcast live in six languages. All ten episodes of the competition were shown on Jibek Joly and Silk Way channels.
