According to a statement, under the partnership, Getty Images’ content will be displayed within ChatGPT, enabling users to access licensed visual content alongside AI-generated responses.

"High-quality, licensed visual content makes AI-powered search and discovery more useful and more trustworthy," said Craig Peters, CEO of Getty Images.

He said the collaboration would help “deliver richer visual experiences to ChatGPT users”.

The agreement marks another step in the growing integration of licensed media content into artificial intelligence products, as technology companies seek to improve the quality and reliability of AI-generated results.

Getty Images operates one of the world’s largest visual content marketplaces through its Getty Images, iStock and Unsplash brands, serving customers in nearly every country and collaborating with hundreds of thousands of photographers, videographers and content partners.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that OpenAI’s ChatGPT had become the fastest application in history to reach one billion monthly active users.
