Exports growth is driven by steady demand for agricultural products in conventional sales markets and efficient logistics and state support measures to the agricultural sector, Kazakhstan Temir Zholy said in a statement.

Exports to Uzbekistan soared by 13.8%, from 8.2 million tons to 9.3 million tons, and to Kyrgyzstan by 60%, from 278,000 tons to 440,000 tons. Grain deliveries to Afghanistan increased by 51%, from 1.2 million tons to 1.8 million tons, and by 50%, from 123,000 tons to 183,000 tons to Turkmenistan.

The Agriculture Ministry emphasized the positive dynamics prove the high competitiveness of Kazakhstan’s grain overseas and strengthen the country’s position as one of the largest exporters of agricultural products in the region.

Works are underway to expand sales markets, boost transport and logistics infrastructure and raise value-added products.

Earlier, the Transport Ministry reported a 15% increase in grain shipments in the first quarter of 2026, totaling 4.1 million tons.
