Kazakhstan wins 23 awards FIRST LEGO League Asia Open Championship in Beijing
At the FIRST LEGO League Asia Open Championship 2026, held on August 13–16, Kazakh school teams achieved remarkable success, winning 23 awards among 375 teams from 25 countries and regions, Qazinform News Agency reports.
Kazakhstan’s RoboRangers, SBIL·LION·AIRES, KAZBOTS took home silver, while Smart Sisters, TechnoKids, StarDust, FlashForce and ASTRIX won bronze.
Besides, Kazakhstan won 15 special awards, including Coding Award, Team Poster Award, Challenge Solution Award, Team Model Award, Core Values Award, Breakthrough Award, Outstanding Team Award and Robot Performance Award, won by teams such as Nomadic Dragons Jr., OtAi, Einsteins, Future IT, Bad Guys, RoboDiggers, Digital Nomads, Saturn, Future Axions 218, Ancient T-Rex, PEAK, Silicon Steppe, Orchid, and SKILLSET.
The USTEM Foundation and the Enlightenment Ministry are organizing over 150 robotics competitions annually in Kazakhstan.
