Gold edges higher from two-month low

Gold prices ticked higher on Friday, recovering from a two-month low, WAM reports.

Spot gold climbed 0.3% to $4,147.77 per ounce by 00:43 GMT, after hitting a two-month low on Wednesday. U.S. gold futures for December delivery advanced 0.4% to $4,172.70.

Among other precious metals, silver added 0.5% to $59.62 per ounce, platinum rose 1.4% to $1,656.30, and palladium gained 1.1% to $1,135.25.

Early September gold prices faced short-term pressure during early Asian trading, easing toward $4,443 per ounce.
