Cultural heritage of Kazakhstan should be promoted in France - Hollande

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Cultural heritage of Kazakhstan should be popularized in France, that will bring our countries closer, believes President Francois Hollande.

"Kazakhstan is the country that prides on having rich cultural heritage and history. Kazakh philosophers and scientists greatly contributed to the development of our heritage: culture, poetry, philosophy and mathematics. For instance, Al-Fabari or Abai Kunanbayev who is often compared to Victor Hugo," President Hollande said while delivering a lecture at Gylym ordassy in Almaty on Saturday. "Currently France is hosting various exhibitions dedicated to Kazakhstan. The best opera singers from your country came and stunned Paris this year. I believe you, Kazakhstanis, should be proud of your fellow countrymen performing abroad," he added. Earlier it was reported that French leader Francois Hollande is on his first official visit to Kazakhstan.
