69yo devoted fan of Dimash from Switzerland arrives in Kazakhstan
Esther Ullmann, the author of the book titled Dimash Kudaibergen and Kazakhstan: How they changed my life arrived in Aktobe, the hometown of the Kazakh singer, Qazinform News Agency reports.
The welcoming ceremony took place at secondary school-gymnasium No. 32 named after M. Kurmangaliyeva, where Dimash studied. Pupils showed her the school museum.
The school has a dedicated space with photos of Dimash, his old class journal, and fan gifts.
Esther Ullmann donated her book to the school, which had previously been presented in Astana.
She addressed teachers and students in Kazakh, thanking them for their warm welcome.
Esther Ullmann first discovered Dimash’s music on YouTube in 2020, attended his concert in Almaty in 2022, and dreamed of visiting his hometown — now fulfilled.
Fans from around the world regularly visit Dimash’s school in Aktobe, even sitting at his former desk. This year, visitors from Turkiye have already come.
