Woman dies after moped collides with car

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - In the city of Almaty a moped driver provoked a traffic accident which killed a 24-year-old woman, the press service of the City Internal Affairs Dept reports.
According to authorities, the incident occurred in Almalinskyi area. Driver of Honda moped collided with a car "Hyundai Accent". According to preliminary data the 40-year-old man, resident of Turkey, was driving the moped drunk. As a result the 24-year-old woman, passenger of the moped, has died in the intensive care ward of the hospital for emergency care, without regaining consciousness. Another woman, a passenger of "Hyundai", was taken to the city hospital number 5with various injuries. Meanwhile, the man attempted to escape from a hospital ward. Criminal case has been initiated. The suspect faces up to four years of imprisonment.
