Why did Bad Bunny suddenly age?
The past week in show business once again proved that the industry thrives on contrasts: from conceptual Met Gala looks and record-breaking box office results to leaks and legal battles, Qazinform News Agency reports.
Old Bunny
Bad Bunny became one of the standout figures at the Met Gala 2026, appearing on the red carpet as a version of himself 50 years in the future.
This year’s Met Gala theme, “Costume Art,” came with a dress code titled “Fashion is Art.” Benito fully embraced it, stepping out with gray hair, a beard, a cane, and the mannerisms of old age.
The look was created in collaboration with Zara. A black suit was paired with a large sculptural bow, referencing Charles James’s 1947 Bustle dress. Makeup artist Mike Marino was behind the transformation.
Given the theme, the concept and execution aligned perfectly.

Eileen Gu delivered arguably the most memorable appearance of the night in a short “bubble” dress by Iris van Herpen, made from 15,000 glass spheres. During her walk, real soap bubbles floated out of the dress, powered by built-in microprocessors controlling gas release and timing.
No jokes, no happy ending
Director Kenneth Branagh said he would like to return to the Thor franchise and direct another film about the God of Thunder, he told Business Insider.
According to him, the potential sequel would take a darker direction, in the vein of Logan. Branagh, who directed the first Thor film in 2011, noted that he would like to “complete his relationship with the character” and tell the hero’s final story. He also expressed interest in working again with Chris Hemsworth.
At the same time, the director acknowledged that Marvel Studios may already have its own plans for the cinematic universe, leaving his involvement uncertain.
The sequel that delivered big
The Devil Wears Prada 2 opened to a record-breaking debut, earning $77 million in the U.S. and $233.6 million worldwide in its first weekend.
The film surpassed the 2006 original and marked the biggest opening of Meryl Streep’s career.
Leak bender meets reality
A 27-year-old man has been arrested in Singapore in connection with one of Paramount’s largest leaks. The animated film Avatar: Aang The Last Airbender, with an $80 million budget, appeared online six months before its release.
The suspect allegedly posted clips and later the full film on X, claiming he received the file from hackers. According to police, the copy was stolen from the studio’s media server.
He faces up to seven years in prison and a fine of up to $40,000. The film is scheduled for release on October 9 on Paramount+.
The human factor in creativity
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has updated its Oscars rules. Performances and screenplays created using AI will not be eligible for awards.
Under the new rules, nominations are limited to roles “performed by humans” and scripts written by humans. The use of AI in other aspects of production is still allowed and does not directly affect a film’s chances.

Figure skater Alysa Liu has become a new ambassador for Louis Vuitton.
In her debut campaign, she appeared in denim looks. She has previously collaborated with Nike and Sephora.

53-year-old Cameron Diaz and her husband, musician Benji Madden, have welcomed their third child, a son.
Madden announced the news on social media, revealing the baby’s name is Nautas. Like their previous children, the baby may have been born via surrogate.
Behind closed doors
A former housekeeper has filed a lawsuit alleging discrimination, harassment, and labor violations.
According to the plaintiff, working conditions worsened in 2023. She claims she was denied access to breaks, water, and restroom facilities, and was mocked for her accent and background.
She also alleges that after filing a complaint, she faced pressure and resigned in 2025. Representatives declined to comment.
God Save the Queen
Netflix is developing a prequel to The Crown, covering the period from 1901, following Queen Victoria’s death, to the wedding of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip in 1947.
Series creator Peter Morgan is expected to return, with casting potentially beginning next year.
It Ends With Us - and it really ends
Blake Lively and Wayfarer Studios, linked to director Justin Baldoni, have reached a settlement two weeks before trial.
Lively’s lawsuit involved allegations of harassment on the set of It Ends With Us and a subsequent pressure campaign. However, most claims had previously been dismissed on procedural grounds.
The terms of the settlement remain undisclosed. In a joint statement, both sides emphasized the importance of a safe working environment and expressed hope to move forward.
