What to listen to before the World Cup: Shakira, The Rolling Stones and IShowSpeed feature on FIFA’s official album

Football and music have gone hand in hand for decades, producing songs that often outlive the tournaments themselves. Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, FIFA has unveiled an 18-track album featuring artists from around the world. Qazinform News Agency highlights some of the project’s most notable collaborations.

LISA, Anitta and Rema open the album

The album begins with Goals, performed by BLACKPINK member LISA, Brazilian singer Anitta and Nigerian artist Rema. The collaboration unites three major music markets and sets the tone for a project built around international partnerships.

Shakira and Burna Boy reunite football and global pop

One of the most anticipated songs on the album is Dai Dai, a collaboration between Colombian superstar Shakira and Nigerian Grammy winner Burna Boy. Shakira’s name has become almost inseparable from the FIFA World Cup thanks to the global success of Waka Waka in 2010, making her return to the tournament’s soundtrack particularly notable.

The Rolling Stones bring rock to the World Cup

Football playlists are usually dominated by pop, hip-hop and electronic music, but this year’s album also includes In the Stars (Remix) by The Rolling Stones.

Future and Tyla offer a modern anthem

Game Time pairs American rapper Future with South African star Tyla, one of the fastest-rising names in contemporary music. The track combines hip-hop and Afrobeats influences.

Football meets internet culture

Among the biggest surprises is Champion by IShowSpeed. Known primarily as a streamer and online personality, he has become one of football’s most visible influencers through his coverage of major tournaments and interactions with players.

A soundtrack for three nations

The album also reflects the unique character of the 2026 tournament, which will be hosted by Canada, Mexico and the United States. Tracks such as Three Nations by 21 Savage, Nata Cano and French Montana and Mi Mexico Lindo by Alejandro Fernández directly reference the host countries and their cultural identities.

According to FIFA, the 18-track album is designed to capture the energy, diversity and global spirit of the first World Cup to feature 48 teams. Several songs will be performed during countdown concerts in Mexico City, Toronto and Los Angeles, as well as during the tournament’s opening ceremonies.
