Washington appreciates the constructive foreign policy of Kazakhstan – U.S. Ambassador

Congratulating Mr.Krol on the recent presentation of credentials, Senate's Speaker wished the diplomat successful mission in Kazakhstan, the press service of the upper House of the Parliament informs. "The United States is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan. Astana and Washington successfully develop constructive cooperation on a wide range of issues," said Mr.Tokayev. Speaker stressed the interest of the Kazakh Senate in parliamentary relations with the U.S. Congress. The basis of inter-parliamentary dialogue, according to K.Tokayev, are the cooperation groups operating in both houses of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan and "Group of Friends of Kazakhstan" in the U.S. legislature. Mr.Tokayev paid special attention to the content of the new economic program Nurly Zhol as well as five institutional reforms formulated by the Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev at the Congress of Nur Otan. President of the Senate briefed Mr.Krol on preparations for the V Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions. In turn, Ambassador George A. Krol stressed the readiness of the United States to develop cooperation with Kazakhstan on a mutually beneficial and equitable basis. Washington appreciates the constructive foreign policy of Kazakhstan especially in the sphere of security and non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and energy. According to the Ambassador, our country has a special place in Central Asia as it shows willingness to implement institutional reforms.
