Uzbekistan’s foreign trade hits USD 18 bln in Q1
Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover reached 18 billion US dollars in January-March 2026 that is 2.7% more compared to the same period of 2025, Qazinform News Agency cites UzA.
Exports amounted to 5.8 billion US dollars, down 29.3%, while imports rose to 12.2 billion US dollars, up 30.8%.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan traded with more than 170 countries worldwide.
The largest shares of Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover were recorded with China (25.6%), Russia (18.2%), Kazakhstan (7.2%), Türkiye (3.6%), and Afghanistan (2.8%).
As reported earlier, delegations from Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan met in Tashkent from April 28–30 to advance negotiations on the draft intergovernmental agreement for the construction of the Kambarata-1 hydroelectric power plant (HPP).
