«Unknown Kazakhstan» Photo Exhibition kicks off in Almaty
The exhibition pictures depicting rocky cliffs, lush forests, sun-scorched deserts and fertile oases, reflect the richness and diversity of Kazakhstani landscapes, changing the current stereotype of its dull and lifeless steppes.
''"Unknown Kazakhstan" is one of the most exciting projects of the last two years supported by our foundation. In 2012 in the framework of "Grant for creative projects" under the decision of the competition commission the project was declared the winner and got the opportunity to realize a unique idea to promote the unknown places of our vast country. In 2012 the photographs have covered half the territory of Kazakhstan with expeditions, visiting the most picturesque corners of our state", said the chief specialist on work with creative youth of the Fund of the First President Eldar Ibragimov.
Photosafari.kz team photographers scoured the entire country - from the Tien Shan Mountains to the Caspian Sea. This year's project embraced Western Kazakhstan,capturing such wonderful places as Ustyurt, majestic Caspian Sea, sacred Magystau and legendary Aral.
