Türkiye’s Supreme Election Council highly appreciates Qurultay elections in Kazakhstan

Serdar Mutta, the Chairman of the Supreme Election Council of Türkiye, commented on the Qurultay elections held in Kazakhstan, Qazinform News Agency reports.

He praised the high political will of the nationals of Kazakhstan and the level of organization of the election process. 

He stressed that despite heavy rain, Kazakhstanis came to the polling stations to cast their votes and express their political stance.

To note, Serdar Mutta emphasized that according to the Central Election Commission, preliminary voter turnout stood at 74.08%, which strengthens people’s confidence in democracy.

He also congratulated Kazakhstanis on the conclusion of the Qurultay elections and the five political parties that exceeded the threshold of at least 5% of the votes to enter the Qurultay.

As written before, across the three exit polls, Adilet received the highest level of support, ranging from 70.7% to 72.3%.

Based on the exit poll results, five parties met or exceeded the threshold: Adilet, Auyl, Respublica, Ak Zhol and OSDP.

The People’s Party of Kazakhstan received between 2.8% and 3.2%, while the Baytaq Green Party received between 0.9% and 1.2%. The share of respondents who voted “Against all” ranged from 2.1% to 2.6%.

The Central Election Commission will announce the official results following the completion of the vote count.
