Tajikistan Consulate General in Almaty opens special division on labor migration

The ministry has held a meeting of Labor and Social Protection minister Tamara Duissenova and the Minister of Labour and Employment of the Republic of Tajikistan Sumangul Tagoeva. During the round table the sides discussed the main activities of the agencies of the two partner countries. "Kazakhstan is currently the second largest host country for labour migrants. In this regard, the Government of Tajikistan is considering the question of opening a special unit on labor migration in Tajikistan consulate in Almaty", said S. Tagoeva. Tajikistan Minister of Labour and Employment also reported on the work concerning the development of vocational education and training for both internal and external labor market of the Republic of Tajikistan. In turn T. Duissenova informed her colleague about the project on concept improvement of migration legislation of Kazakhstan and spoke about the work of the Ministry aimed at the improvement of professional standards. The sides agreed to further cooperate on labor migration.
