Sensational findings from the Vatican archive presented in Almaty

ALMATY. KAZINFORM The Zhurgenev Kazakh National Academy of Arts unveiled a photo exhibition featuring findings from the Vatican archive.
Senior lecturer, professor of history at Columbia University Rafis Abazov came to find out six unique maps depicting the territory of Kazakhstan and the letters of the Pontiff addressed to one of the Turkic rulers dated back to the 13th-15th centuries at the Vatican archive. The only map signed dates back to 1684. The exhibition will run until October 4.
