SCO member states discuss sports cooperation at Harbin meeting
On May 21, Chinese city of Harbin hosted the fourth meeting of sports authorities from Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states to enhance collaboration in elite and mass sports, infrastructure, science, and anti-doping, Khovar reports.

SCO Deputy Secretary-General Ahmad Saidmurodzoda highlighted sports as a vital element of the Organization’s humanitarian agenda, underscoring its role in peace, unity, and sustainable development.
He called for continued efforts based on the “Shanghai Spirit.”
The event featured a presentation on the China-SCO Winter Sports Demonstration Zone in Harbin. The meeting concluded with the signing of a cooperation protocol.
Earlier, it was reported that the SCO Secretary General and the Kazakh Vice Minister of Healthcare have explored key areas of cooperation.
