Satpayev scores brace in farewell match for Kairat before Chelsea transfer

17-year-old Kazakhstan forward Dastan Satpayev marked his farewell appearance for FC Kairat with a brace as the club secured a 3-0 victory over Kyzylzhar in the Kazakhstan Premier League, Qazinform News Agency reports, citing the Schrodinger’s Sport Telegram channel.

The highly rated player opened the scoring in the 59th minute, then added his second goal three minutes from time. Ismail Bekbolat also found the net for Kairat, scoring in the 85th minute.

The match was Satpayev’s final appearance for Kairat before he completed his move to Chelsea, a Premier League side.

The result strengthened Kairat’s position in the league standings and provided a memorable send-off for one of Kazakhstan’s brightest young talents ahead of his move to England.

It was previously reported that in summer 2026, Satpaev would officially start his career with Chelsea F.C., making him the first Kazakhstani footballer to join the English Premier League. 

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Almaty football club Kairat had announced plans to host a farewell event for 17-year-old forward Dastan Satpayev before he departs for London.
