Road accident involving 12 vehicles takes place in Almaty

Recall that the incident took place on Isinalieva Street of Almaty. Mercedes bus driver lost steering and collided with Hyundai car. Then Hyundai hit a 44-year-old pedestrian who was admitted to a hospital. Several other vehicles have been hit by inertia. The bus stopped only after a collision with MAN truck. According to preliminary data, the accident involved 1 bus and 11 passenger cars. As a result of the accident nine people were injured. The bus driver was admitted to a hospital with broken arms and legs. Seven public transport passengers, including three children, were taken to hospitals of the city too, said the head of the investigation bureau under the city's Interior Department Rustam Abdrakhmanov. Criminal case has been initiated under the Art. 345 Part 1 of the new Criminal Code. The investigation is underway.
