Reached agreements on the Iranian nuclear program is important contribution to improving the situation in the Middle East - SCO

BEIJING. November 27. KAZINFORM - The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is considering the agreement of Iran and so-called Group of Six as an important contribution to improving the situation in the Middle East, this has been stated by the SCO Secretary-General Dmitry Mezentsev.

"Shanghai Cooperation Organization welcomes progress on agreement between the foreign ministers of Britain, Germany, Iran, China, Russia, thy USA and France over Iran's nuclear program reached on November 24 in Geneva. SCO considers this step as an important contribution to the strengthening of trust and mutual understanding between the States concerned and improvement of the situation in the Middle East", the statement reads.

SCO is a regional international organization founded in 2001 by the leaders of China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. Observer countries are Afghanistan, India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan, dialogue partners are Belarus, Turkey and Sri Lanka.
