Prominent Kazakhstani poet laid to rest in Almaty

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - A prominent Kazakhstani poet Ibragim Issayev has been laid to rest in Almaty this morning.
Well-known culture figures, writers and poets of the country came to pay last respects to their friend and colleague. Earlier it was reported that Issayev died of heart disease aged 65. He was born in Dzhetikul village in Kyzylorda region in 1949. He graduated from the Kirov Kazakhstan State University (now - the Al Farabi Kazakh National University). Issayev worked for Syrdarya newspaper, Ara and Zhalyn magazines. He penned several books of poems.
