Signed by Presight CEO Thomas Pramotedham and Almaty Mayor Darkhan Satybaldy, the agreement establishes a framework for deploying intelligent systems across the city’s core infrastructure.

Focus areas include urban mobility, public safety, and municipal services, supported by real-time city management and situational command centers.

A foundational element will be the creation of a sovereign AI data centre, designed to power city operations with secure, scalable computing capacity.

The collaboration will involve joint research, ecosystem development, and engagement with the Almaty AI Hub, alongside the potential establishment of a regional Presight office.

This builds on Presight’s existing work in Kazakhstan, including the Astana smart city project and the deployment of an AI supercomputer.

By embedding intelligence directly into how systems function, Almaty aims to evolve beyond digitalization toward integrated urban infrastructure, enhancing efficiency, resilience, and quality of life for residents.

To note, Presight launched R&D laboratory in Kazakhstan.
