President Tokayev expresses condolences over deadly funicular accident in Lisbon

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev sent on Thursday a message of condolence to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa and the people of Portugal after a funicular crash in the center of Lisbon, killing at least 15 people, Kazinform News Agency cites Akorda.

In his message, the Kazakh President expressed his support for the families of those killed and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

Earlier, it was reported Lisbon's Gloria Funicular derails, leaving 15 dead, 18 injured. A day of mourning was declared following the accident.
