Participants of armed assault against businessman family detained in Chechnya and Georgia

An armed assault against the family of a businessman has been committed at the end of April 2011 in Almaty. On that day at half past three in the morning five men wearing masks broke into the 38-year-old entrepreneur's apartment. The raiders tied up the owner and his wife and seized KZT 200 thousand, gold products and two expensive cell phones, the press service of the Internal Affairs of the city reports.

"Once the criminals have disappeared the man released from ropes and helped his wife. In the next room he found his brother who was strangled to death. There was established an investigative team. Three members of an armed raid were detained hotfoot. Two more criminals went on the run. The raiders have been declared in the international wanted list", said Colonel Malik Bubekulov, the Head of the Criminal Investigation of Criminal Police Department of Internal Affairs of the Almaty city.

One of the fugitives was arrested by the police in the Chechen Republic. His co-defendant was apprehended in Tbilisi. The Ministries of Internal Affairs of the above mentioned countries and Kazakhstan are being decided whether to extradite the criminals to Kazakhstan.
