Mbappé joined the Spanish giants in 2024 hoping to win his first UEFA Champions League title and strengthen his position among football’s elite players. However, Real Madrid have secured only the UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Intercontinental Cup during his time at the club.

Frustration among fans intensified after Mbappé missed a recent match against Espanyol due to injury, while photos circulated online showing the forward vacationing in Italy with actress Ester Expósito. Although the trip was reportedly approved by the club, many supporters criticized the timing.

The online “Mbappé Out” petition quickly gained traction across social media platforms.

“Madridistas, make your voice heard. If you believe change is needed, don’t stay silent - sign this petition and stand for what you think is best for the club’s future,” the petition stated.

According to reports, the campaign collected millions of signatures within a short period, although participation reportedly requires only a single click and does not verify whether signatories are Real Madrid supporters.

Despite the controversy, Mbappé remains one of the club’s most productive players. The French striker has scored 41 goals in 41 appearances across all competitions this season, improving on last year’s tally of 44 goals in 54 matches.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that FIFA had announced a 15% increase in financial distributions for all 48 teams set to compete at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
