Nursultan Nazarbayev has a session on Innovation in «Alatau» Information Technology Park

ALMATY. June 5. KAZINFORM - Today the Kazakh President within his working trip to Almaty is visiting «Alatau», the Information Technology Park (ITP), where he will be having a meeting on innovation, the President press-service reports.
«Alatau» ITP was founded by the Presidential decree on August 18 2003 in a suburban village of Alatau. It is a State Institution called «Directorate of Special Economic Zone» Information Technology Park» (SEZ «ITP») «Alatau IT-City» of Industry and Trade Ministry of Kazakhstan. The park is situated 25 km away from Almaty, its area equals to 343 hectares, and some part of which is owned by the city of Almaty and the other part belongs the Almaty region.
The purpose of Alatau IT-City is rapid development of IT-business in Kazakhstan. This is a special economic zone with preferential tax and customs regime for all the information and telecommunication companies operating in the territory.
