Nazarbayev puts forward proposals on deepening SCO security cooperation
Nazarbayev emphasized the importance of better coordination of antiterrorist efforts between the competent bodies of the Organization's member states, observer countries and partners.
With the purpose of deepening cooperation in the field of security the President of Kazakhstan put forward the following proposals:
First, to establish conference on regulation of territorial and regional conflicts between the SCO member states. "This idea was partially reflected in the revised SCO Regulations on Political and Diplomatic Measures and Mechanism of Response to Events Jeopardizing Regional Peace, Security and Stability," Nazarbayev noted.
Second, to establish a special agency, cyberpol that will provide protection from Internet aggressions.
Third, to establish SCO Prognosis Center that will significantly increase the effectiveness of our Organization.
Fourth, to consistently implement the SCO Anti-drug Strategy for 2011-2016 adopted at the summit in Astana.
