Nazarbayev offers to pose Almaty as financial center of EAEU

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has offered to pose the city of Almaty as a financial center of the Eurasian Economic Community.

"We agreed that the Eurasian Economic Commission will be located in Moscow which will be the economic center of the Eurasian Economic Union. Although there were other offers: Eurasian court will be in Minsk. It is planned to create a supranational financial market regulation body in Almaty in 2025. I propose to pose Almaty as a financial center of the Eurasian Economic Union before the establishment of the regulation body", said the President speaking at the meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in the expanded format. The President expressed confidence that the establishment of the EAEU will become a powerful impetus for the development and modernization of the member countries.
