Monument to Charles de Gaulle to be unveiled in Astana

"The upcoming visit of French President Francois Hollande to Kazakhstan in December will become a milestone event in the history of Kazakhstan-France relations. I am confident that the meetings between the heads of our countries, officials and businessmen will give a new impulse to further expansion and deepening of our cooperation," Mr. Dzhaksybekov noted. A monument to prominent French leader general Charles de Gaulle will be unveiled in Astana within the framework of President Hollande's visit. French ambassador expressed profound gratitude to people of Kazakhstan and the Leader of the nation Nursultan Nazarbayev for paying the tribute to the memory of the first President of the French Republic.
