Majilis approves bill on minimum social standards

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - At today's plenary session the Majilis has approved the second reading of the draft law "On minimum social standards and guarantees."

"The bill, initiated by the deputies of the Majilis and the Senate, was developed to legislative recognition of new principles of social policy defined by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in his address to the people "Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy" and "Nurly Zhol - The path to the future"," said the Majilis deputy Svetlana Ferkho. According to her words the bill aims at legislative consolidation of the principles which provide guaranteed minimum social standards (minimum amount of social services and cash benefits). In addition, Majilis deputies approved the second reading of the consequential amendments to the law.
