M5.1 quake strikes Kyrgyzstan

A 5.1 magnitude earthquake was recorded in Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday at 3:31 p.m. Astana time, Kazinform News Agency reports.

According to the Data Center of the Institute of Geophysical Research of the National Nuclear Center of Kazakhstan, the quake’s epicenter was monitored at 39.83 degrees north latitude and 71.98 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 18 kilometers. The energy class is 11.6.
Earlier, it was reported a 5.9M earthquake hit China.
