Kyrgyzstan’s EAEU trade falls 1.8% in early 2026

Between January and April 2026, Kyrgyzstan’s mutual trade with member states of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) totaled $1.79 billion, Kabar reports.
This figure represents a 1.8% decrease compared to the same period in 2025. Export volumes fell sharply by 11.7%, while imports edged up by 1%, highlighting a shift in trade dynamics.
It was noted that Russia and Kazakhstan remain Kyrgyzstan’s primary trading partners within the EAEU, accounting for 67.4% and 30.2% of total trade, respectively.
Overall, Kyrgyzstan’s foreign and mutual trade in goods reached $4.76 billion in the first four months of 2026, marking a 3.6% decline year-on-year.
Earlier, it was reported that Kyrgyzstan had highlighted interest in energy cooperation within EAEU.
