Kazakhstan’s Dastan Satpayev to continue his career at Chelsea
Almaty-based football club Kairat and London’s Chelsea have reached an agreement on the transfer of 16-year-old forward Dastan Satpayev, reports a Kazinform News Agency correspondent.

According to Kairat’s press service, he will officially join the English team in the summer of 2026, after reaching adulthood. Until then, Satpayev will continue playing for Kairat.
“Dastan was born in Almaty and joined Kairat’s academy at the age of eight, progressing through all stages of training. From the very beginning, he stood out for his hard work, discipline, and desire for perfection,” the club’s statement reads.
His achievements:
- 28 matches, 26 goals, and 10 assists over two seasons in the QJ League.
- MVP of the QJ League for the 2024 season.
- 5 matches and a winning goal in the First League.
- 4 matches, 1 goal, and 1 assist in the UEFA Youth League.
In May 2024, at just 15 years old, Satpayev became the youngest player in Kairat’s history to debut for the senior team.
Previously, well-known journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that the 16-year-old Kazakh footballer would join Chelsea for over €4 million. He noted that the transfer fee includes bonuses for Kairat, making it a record-breaking deal for the Kazakh league.
