Kazakhstan to promote UNESCO World Heritage Sites

ASTANA. KAZINFORM "The Kazakh Culture Ministry promotes the UNESCO World Heritage Sites such as the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi Mausoleum and Tamgaly petroglyphs," Culture Vice Minister Askar Buribayev told the annual meeting of the national commission for UNESCO and ISESCO.
According to him, the Government approved the Turkestan city master plan that outlines the mausoleum protection areas and its development control zones. "It is expected to build a visit centre in the territory of the Tamgaly museum. The Ministry submitted the government expert review and feasibility study as the innovation project to the national budget commission. Besides, the Ministry is drafting the management plan in an effort to further study, preserve and promote the Tamgaly petroglyphs," he added.
