Kazakhstan to launch gelatin and bioactive bone matrix plant

Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister - National Economy Minister Serik Zhumangarin held a meeting on financing and implementing the comprehensive plan for the socio-economic development of Arkalyk city, Amangeldy and Zhangeldy districts of Kostanay region for 2026–2028, Qazinform News Agency cites the Government’s press service.

The comprehensive plan includes 51 action items across 10 areas, namely industry, transport, tourism, agriculture, education, healthcare, social protection, utilities, water management, and public safety.

The plan aims to develop industrial potential, modernize engineering and social infrastructure, improve people’s living standards, and create favorable conditions for attracting investments and generating new jobs.

The plan emphasizes the development of the agro-industrial complex, including cattle breeding, infrastructure projects and support for entrepreneurship and investment activities. In particular, several large investment projects will be built in Arkalyk. Among them are a gelatin and bioactive bone matrix plant, a modular cattle reproduction facility for 6,000 head, a livestock complex for 10,000 sheep, a feedlot for 6,000 head and expansion of a poultry farm to 300 million eggs per year, including a new feed plant.

Kostanay region governor Kumar Aksakalov announced 33 action items worth 78.4 billion tenge will be implemented this year. 39.2 billion tenge has already been allocated.

To note, Kazakhstan will build its first ammonia–urea plant in Aktau, with an investment exceeding 804.2 billion tenge.
