Kazakhstan's Vino and Fabio Aru to join Almaty bike ride

ASTANA. KAZINFORM Well-known bicycle racers Alexander Vinokurov and Fabio Aru will join the bike ride set for this June 21 in Almaty to support Almaty Olympiad 2022 bid campaign, the mayor's press service said.
Alexander Vinokourov's achievements include two bronze medals at the World Championships, four stage wins in the Tour de France, four in the Vuelta a España plus the overall title in 2006, two Liège-Bastogne-Liège monuments, one Amstel Gold Race, and most recently, the gold medal at the2012 London Olympics Men's Road Race. Fabio Aru is a professional road bicycle racer for UCI ProTeam Astana. Born in San Gavino Monreale, Aru joined the team midway through the 2012 season. In the 2014 Giro d'Italia, Aru won stage 15 and came third overall.
