Kazakhstan, Qatar ratify agreement on military cooperation

The Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament has ratified the Agreement between the governments of Kazakhstan and Qatar on military cooperation. The document was signed in Doha on December 12, 2023, Kazinform News Agency learned from the Majilis' press service.
According to the lower chamber deputies, the ratification of the agreement will enable the two countries to cooperate in military education and science and medicine. The document provides for cultural and sports events in military sector, consultations on the issues related to peace maintaining, combat training etc.
As per the agreement, the authorized agencies of the two countries will set up a joint working group which will define, organize and coordinate the military cooperation.
