Kazakhstan Open-2014 golf tournament prize fund is 450,000 Euros

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - The prize fund of the X golf tournament Kazakhstan Open-2014, which will be held in Almaty on September 18-21 at "Zhailyau" club, for the first time ever will be 450 thousand Euros, this was said by secretary general of the Golf Federation of Kazakhstan Konstantin Lifanov.
"Within four days the best European Challenge Tour players will fight for the champion's title of Kazakhstan Open-2014. We expect more than 150 participants - world-class players, sports masters and experts. However the prize money will be divided between 65 players. First place winner will get 60-70 thousand Euros, for the second - 40, for the third - 30 thousand Euros. The player who will gain the 65th place, will receive about 1 thousand Euros," said Lifanov. According to him, Kazakhstan will be represented by Alexander Wangan, Nurtai Saldarov and Nurlan Makulbekov. Famous Russian tennis player Yevgeny Kafelnikov will partake in the tournament in Almaty.
