Kazakhstan joins talks for inaugural Central Asia-South Korea summit
Kazakhstan's Deputy Foreign Minister Alibek Bakayev participated in the second meeting of senior officials of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum, where representatives reviewed preparations for the inaugural Central Asia-South Korea Summit and discussed key areas of regional cooperation, Qazinform News Agency cites the Kazakh Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, participants assessed progress in organizing the upcoming summit and exchanged views on initiatives aimed at strengthening cooperation between Central Asian countries and South Korea.
Bakayev stressed the significance of coordinated efforts in the lead-up to the summit, describing the event as an important platform for advancing initiatives that promote sustainable development, regional stability, and shared prosperity across Central Asia.
On the sidelines of the forum, Bakayev also held separate talks with South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Chung Eui-hae. The two officials noted the positive trajectory of bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea.
The discussions concluded with both sides expressing readiness to deepen their strategic partnership and advance a range of joint projects in areas of mutual interest.
