Kazakhstan increased its share in IMF

ALMATY. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has increased its share in the authorized capital of the International Monetary Fund from 365 700 000 SDR to 427 800 000 SDR. Thus, the voting percentage of Kazakhstan will be increased by 17. This decision was made by the National Bank of Kazakhstan on April 24, the press service of the bank informs.

Kazakhstan ratified the amendments to the agreement with the IMF by means of adopting the special law on ratification of the amendments on March 20, 2015.

"It should be noted that in case of increasing of the share of a country gold value assets of the National Bank of Kazakhstan will not be reduced," director of the department of international and public affairs of the National Bank of Kazakhstan Aidar Kazybayev told.

In general, the increase of the share of Kazakhstan in the capital stock of the IMF will ensure further financial stability of the country as long as Kazakhstan can count on the credit line from the IMF in the volume of three times amount of the country's share.
