Kazakhstan imports flowers from 53 countries
Kazakhstan imported flowers from 53 countries, Kazinform News Agency cites the National Statistics Bureau.
Last January-December Kazakhstan imported 12,300 tons of cut flowers and flower buds worth 93.5 million US dollars against 8,200 tons of flowers worth 61.2 million US dollars imported in 2023.
Flowers were brought mainly from Europe, South America and Africa. The biggest importers for 2024 became Ecuador with 6,400 tons, the Netherlands with 2,300 tons, China with 1,100 tons, Colombia with 978 tons and Kenya with 975 tons.
Besides, Kazakhstan exported 1,500 tons of cut flowers and flower buds to the CIS states last year.
To note, Kazakhstan exported 5.8 million tons of grain from the new harvest, marking a 53% growth, out of overall 7.4 million tons of grain shipments.
