A total of 120 boxing quota places have been allocated to athletes from 79 countries, with 60 spots each for male and female boxers and representation from all five continents. The athletes will be named by their respective National Olympic Committees.

Kazakhstan received three quota places — one in the men's −70 kg category and two in the women's −54 kg and −57 kg categories.

The allocation follows the IOC's participation principles for Dakar 2026, taking into account universality, continental representation, athlete performance, gender equality, NOC representation, and event representation.

As part of the qualification process, World Boxing held the U19 Boxing World Cup in Bangkok in March 2026, bringing together more than 450 boxers. The organization also provided travel and accommodation support to 23 national federations and NOCs through Olympic Solidarity funding to help reduce financial barriers to participation.

Earlier, Qazinform News Agency reported that Kazakhstan’s wrestlers led the team standings at the Grand Prix of Germany in Dortmund, winning 15 medals, including six golds.
