Kazakhstan and Qatar agreed to extradite criminals

At today’s plenary session the Kazakh Majilis proceeded to the draft law “On ratification of the Agreement between Kazakhstan and Qatar”, Kazinform News Agency reports.
The agreement was signed on February 14, 2024, in Doha, deputy, chairwoman of the legislation, legal and court system committee Snezhana Imasheva said.
The document aims to finalize relations between the competent bodies of both nations to prosecute or extradite any persons found within their territories to enforce a custodial sentence.
As earlier reported, the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, and the Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, signed a package of documents.
