Kazakh, Uzbek and Kyrgyz ministers debate water and energy security
A working meeting of the energy and water resources ministers from Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan took place in Bishkek, Qazinform News Agency cites UzA.
Those attending shared views on the current state of cooperation in the water and energy sectors and on prospects for its further development.
They also focused on efficient water and energy use during summer, as well as measures to ensure a stable energy supply.
The parties emphasized regional cooperation is becoming crucial to ensuring water and energy security amid population growth, economic development, and rising energy consumption.
Following the meeting, they signed a protocol to supply the countries with water and energy resources this July and August.
