Kazakh-Turkish business forum takes place in Almaty

"The Government of Kazakhstan has a focused effort aimed at improvement of the investment climate of the country and creation of the favorable conditions for doing business. In this regard, the experience of Turkey in development of its industrial basis and support of the industrial sector is very important for us. It should be noted that 1.7 bln US dollars of direct investments have been attracted to Kazakhstan from Turkey since 2005.

Deputy Minister of Economy of Turkey Adnan Yildirim expressed hope that such business forums would serve to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.

Prior to the forum, Y. Sagadiyev and A. Yildirim discussed the issues of state support of investors, development of the countries in the long-term, industrial policy of Kazakhstan, prospects of investment cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan.

The program of the forum includes a plenary sitting, plenary sessions and bilateral meetings with the representatives of Turkish companies. The proposals on implementation of 40 business initiatives will be discussed as well. Thus, Akmola, South Kazakhstan, North Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Kyzylorda, Atyrau region and Almaty city will present their investment abilities in the processing industry.

In whole, about 200 representatives of business communities of the two countries take part in business forum and about 50 of them are from Turkey.
